First Round Analysis of the Cleveland Cavaliers

We all know last year the Cavaliers won the NBA title. We know that they are not the first seed in the East. What we do not know, is why the Cavaliers are struggling in the fourth quarter. Although Cleveland swept the Indiana Pacers and are now in a good position to prepare for the second round, the fact still remains that they are not playing well in last quarter of the game. In games one, two, and four the Cavaliers were outscored in the fourth. This cannot happen if they want to win another championship. If this keeps occurring to the Cavs, do not expect to see them lift the trophy.
Even though they are having these struggles, the Cavs still won four games against a scrappy Indiana team. In all honesty, it was a good test for the Cavaliers early in the playoffs. So what was good about the Cavaliers? Well, It is good to see that the new additions are starting to develop chemistry with the remainder of the team. Deron Williams is playing like he used to, and Kyle Korver is beginning to find great looks every game. With this coming off the bench, as well as Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, the Cavaliers now have an experienced second team. Hopefully this allows the Cavaliers to play a whole game. Instead of three quarters.

Until next time,

The Third

  1. Yea, I watched the Cavaliers play in the first round. I agree that their play in the fourth quarter needs to improve if they want to win another championship.
